Newborns… squishy, tiny, soft and ah their smell. My passion rests in capturing these tiny little people, so fresh and new to our world. Every time I have the pleasure of photographing a new baby it fills me with a sense of utter fulfillment. The first few days, weeks and sometimes even months, can be such a blur to most new parents (and even those who are veterans). Being asked to document the early days of a client’s new baby is one of the biggest honours in my life. It is so easy to forget those first few days, so giving a client their images of their baby always brings so much joy for them and me. All of this makes me realize I am doing exactly what I was meant to do. Now meet my latest newborn baby girl, from the gorgeous parents from this session. She came early and was pretty tiny, which she made up with her calm behaviour and extreme cuteness.

The parents would be thrilled! gorgeous images!!! Love them all and your edits of them! Such a cute baby!!       Last month I did something I never do… I entered one of my images in a contest. It was for the cover of a brand new photography magazine for women called Chic Magazine. I was so excited when I found out I made the top 10 and then even more pleased to find out that I was a runner up and that my image would be featured inside the magazine.

If you missed it the last two months the general idea is to take a self portrait capturing our relationships with our children, significant other, family, pet, best friend, or ourselves. I am a very positive and glass half full type of girl, but the darkness of this time of year always sneaks in. I have been doing a lot of self reflection and trying to put more concentration on me in hopes of a calmer and more happier world around me. A happy mom and happy wife… makes a happy home, right?! So here is me… in different shades of grey; some of my favorite words right now; and a few of me and my littlest biggest fan.
