lila + her two boys | calgary child photographer

I think I mentioned a few times but i am far behind my blogging…  but I will be happily catching up this month. first up a session from August… yes I know, August!

Probably the most scary and nerve racking thing for a photographer is to take pictures of another photographer. It is also a huge honour!

Lila is a very talented photographer from Salmon Arm (check out her blog here). We first “met” online well over a year ago, but it wasn’t until this summer that we actually got to meet in person.  We have a lot in common and really clicked (no pun intended) right away, as did our children who are the same ages. I can’t wait for them to visit Calgary again or for me to take a much needed trip to the Okanagan.

amie hansen - robyn, you did an amazing job.. what a special gift you gave lila with her two handsome sons!!! would love for you to do this for me one day..!!!

bloom fifty-two | as is (sooc)

i was looking forward to this weeks theme for awhile now… to take a picture and share it with all of you that has had no editing or retouching done to it. this could be a scary thing for a lot but i found it so refreshing & freeing. i guess this is what film photographers feel!

this image of my girls is straight out of my camera (all i did with it was crop, re-size & sharpen for web). i took it with my 50mm lens (which is by far my favorite lens) and my settings for all those interested were:   f/1.4,  1/100sec  &  ISO 800

sooc

this is a 52 week group project with 15 other photographers from around the world, brought together by the bloom forum.  this weeks prompt is as is.  once you are done here, please click over to the blog of  Jessica Nelson | The Gaggle Photography  to see her take on this weeks prompt.

and we all really love comments, so if you see something you like please let us know :)

Carrie Terrones - Beautiful perspective Robyn and I love the burst of yellow from the flowers!

jessican - What a great moment. Oh and this image is perfect. Love the colors.

Chelsey - Beautiful, Robyn! This is what it’s all about. Getting it right in camera, but knowing it like the back of your hand so you can enjoy the moment & savor that … you did it all perfectly. (Hope you guys don’t have the fall-out of the storm that’s hitting us! Stay safe!)

Jill VZ - Just love this photo Robyn. You captured this moment beautifully!

Christina - I love this. Perfectly exposed and I really like the composition.

Cara - I love the perspective and how we feel we are getting a sneak peak at them.

amy l - They are busy at work! Just darling!

amie hansen - love this in the moment shot!!!

Tamara - Great capture
